A unique key component of CommerceZone’s solution is strategic sourcing. This is a full procurement management function focusing on indirect goods and services and includes sourcing, contract management, SLA management and BEE certification of suppliers.

The Strategic Sourcing Team is responsible for determining the needs and specifications of all procurement requirements for CommerceZone's clients and to strategically source and  contract the supplier/s for the various commodity groups respectively.

The team will oversee the implementation of the newly sourced suppliers and will ensure that the suppliers are operationalised within each Buying Organisation. The Strategic Sourcing Department within CommerceZone will also co-ordinate the involvement of the Sourcing Teams, which consists of representatives from within each Buying Organisation.
 
The use of CommerceZone’s strategic sourcing helps deliver cost-savings, higher service levels and an increased contribution towards affirmative procurement targets through the use of accredited BEE suppliers.
